Safari Cinema presents Walt Disney’s “Operation Dump Drop” during Elephantastic Week, Monday, June 30th thru Sunday, July 6th. Rated PG this film is a battle of will and an outrageous test of endurance when five Green Berets stationed in Vietnam in 1968, grudgingly undertake the mission of a lifetime – to secretly transport an 8,000 lb. elephant through 200 miles of rough jungle terrain. This film is a must and will delight the entire family. Shows will run each day at 3:00 in Safari Cinema. $2.00 per person, and of course the Snack Bar will be open with all the treats you expect! Alice and Tiki will be playing a special song for George on their harmonicas! Don''t miss out! The Wildlife Safari Docents will be sponsoring a TRUNK SALE in the Safari Parking Lot on Saturday, July 5th beginning at 9:00 am. ELEPHANTASTIC WEEK |

It’s time for our 2nd Annual Elephantastic Week at the Wildlife Safari, June 30th – July 6th. Come join us as we have a week full of elephant fun with Alice, Tiki and George. On Monday, June 30th, the Wildlife Safari Docents will be hosting an Elephant Activity Day from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm in the White Rhino Event Center. You will paste, color & paint your way through this educational day. On July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the Elephants will be offering an amazing “Meet & Greet” in the Elephant Barn. See these magnificent animals up close and personal. “Meet & Greets” will take place at 12:30 and 2:00 each day. $10.00 + (1) canned food item per person will reserve a spot for you. On July 4th, our Elephants will be handing out mini American Flags in honor of the 4th of July. George will be celebrating his 27th Birthday on July 5th at 12:30. We heard that Alice & Tiki will be playing “Happy Birthday to George” on their harmonicas! Bring a birthday card for George or a canned food item and be entered into a raffle for an Elephant Painting. Winner to be announced at 3:00 on July 5th. (need to be present to win) Free cake and punch provided at the celebration. On Sunday, July 6th, 2 for 1 admission in our Drive-Thru will be honored for any guests in a GREY car. Elephants merchandise will be 10% off in the Casbah Gift Shop during Elephantastic Week. All canned food items collected will be donated to a local food bank. Bird Show at the Wildlife Safari |

Joe Krathwohl, more publicly known as the BIRDMAN of Las Vegas will be at the Wildlife Safari on July 18th, 19th and 20th. This Bird Show will include colorful parrots, noble eagles, musical cockatoos, marvelous macaws, and the huge endangered Condor. Krathwohl’s birds will demonstrate their intelligence including their free-flying ability and their obvious fondness for their trainer. Shows times each day are 11:00, 1:00, 3:00 & 5:00 in Frank Hart Discovery Theater. Tickets for Safari Members are $8.00 for adults $5.00 for children, non-members $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for children. All children 3 years of age and under admitted free. You will be thoroughly amazed and entertained by these, most amazing bird shows ever presented! Kiddie Camp |
| |
Kiddie Camp at the Safari is for ages 4-7 years. Camp covers different topics such as Classification & Adaptation, Conservation, Animal Care and Colors and Camouflage. Camps run from 10am-3pm. Sack lunches are available from the Smokin Hippo for $5.00 or campers are welcome to bring their own sack lunch. During camp, the campers will experience an "inside event" such as a Giraffe Feed, or ride one of our African Elephants, create some fun animal crafts and much more! Campers must pre-register and space is limited. Cost is $32 per day or $90 for three days. Discounts are available for Safari Members. SUMMER WINE STROLL |

Warm Summer Breeze, pleasant music, exotic animals & tempting tastings are on the agenda for the Summer Wine Stroll at Wildlife Safari. The Wildlife Safari invites you to come relax and enjoy. On Tuesday Evening, July 22nd, from 6:00 pm thru 8:30 pm, the Wildlife Safari will be having our Summer Wine Stroll. Walk thru our enchanting Village as you taste local wines provided by Douglas County wineries and exceptional appetizers, prepared by Creative Catering. Admission is $15.00 per adult for advance reservations, $20.00 per adult at the door. Admission cost includes our unique Twilight Stroll wine glass and an evening you will not easily forget.
